The UK Border Agency in Pakistan will be accepting online visa applications from 6 April. From that date, customers applying for a visa under the points-based system must apply for their visas online.
From 1 May the UK Border Agency in Pakistan will no longer accept manually completed application forms, all applicants and their dependants who are applying for a UK visa must apply online.
Applicants will need to print off a hard copy of their online application form and make an appointment online to attend their nearest visa application centre. They should bring a signed print-out of the application form to their appointment at the visa application centre, along with the necessary supporting documentation. Applicants will need to give their biometrics (finger scans and digital photograph) at the visa application centre in line with current practice.
Mandy Ivemy, regional manager, UK Border Agency said:
‘The UK Border Agency and our commercial partner, Gerry’s, are committed to providing our customers with a modern and efficient visa service. I’m very pleased to be able to introduce online applications in Pakistan, not only because it is part of the UK Border Agency’s plan to deliver online services globally, but also because it will mean that customers can spend much less time in the visa application centre than they do at the moment’.
